The More Competent We Are, the Better our Societies
SOCIETALogy is a new macromanagement science that studies both the way we organize and the way we acquire the necessary knowledge and the necessary skills we need to possess to participate effectively in the implementation of the various management processes we use either individually, in groups or collectively through our governments.
By using SOCIETALogy we can now identify, understand and evaluate the various management processes that emerge from our individual, group and collective actions. These management processes can facilitate or impede:
-
-
- the development as well as the social and societal integration of our fellow citizens,
- the development and the functioning of our governments,
- the development and the functioning of our societies.
-
This understanding allows us to better identify the various social and societal cancers that plague the societies of our global village as well as find and implement innovative solutions.
If you feel that this new approach can be useful in one way or another, here are the services we offer.

Conferences
We can cater to your needs in the fields of governance / policy as well as education and ethics.
Governance / Policy Oriented Conferences
If you are looking for thought-provoking conferences, you are at the right place. SOCIETALogy helps us break down many complex abstractions related to:
-
-
-
-
- The Management of our Societies
- The Development of Citizenship Competencies
-
-
-
into simple concepts. This helps us to identify the practices we need to implement to create balanced societies or teach students to become competent and ethical citizens.
Here are some of the topics for which we are proposing new practices.

Education and Ethics Oriented Conferences
SOCIETALogy studies societies as organizations and citizenship as a profession.
However, it is important to remember that SOCIETALogically speaking, societies are only the result of our individual, group and collective actions.
Hence, the more competent we are as citizens, the better our societies will be.
We thus need to make sure our educational system forms competent citizens. This is especially true since SOCIETALogically speaking, citizenship is our primary profession.
Hence we offer conferences for for curriculum developers, teachers, and students.
Teachers and Administrators
The SOCIETALogy Institute can help teachers, and administrators develop programs to help students become competent citizens.
Naturally, as citizenship is our primary profession, a program focused on citizenship is not limited to teaching ethics classes.
We need to adapt the various traditional courses like history, science, maths, etc., so that they are more focused on the knowledge and the skills that citizens must possess so that they can play their roles efficiently. Therefore, to become competent citizens, which includes the development of personal, social and societal skills.
Students
One of the most important elements to help students engage in their education is their intrinsic motivation.
Unfortunately, for many students their level of intrinsic motivation is impeded by their mental models and their perceived social status, which is itself the result of a mental model.
Indeed, mental models are tools we use not only to make sense of our environment but also to make sense of who we are in relations to others. Thus it is through our mental models that we consciously and unconsciously identify with which type of people we want to be seen or not seen with. Our educational, social as well as societal integration will be guided by this perceived social status.
These models are made up from the various knowledge, beliefs, perceptions, intuitions, expectations, etc., that surrounds us and that we use to integrate in the various social environments we encounter.
Students build multiple mental models. They have one mental model when they are with their family, another one when they are with their friends, their classmates or participating in a group activity.
The SOCIETALogy Institute offers conferences to help students acquire knowledge that will help them create a mental model that will facilitate:
-
-
-
-
-
-
- their development as well as their social and societal integration,
- the development as well as the social and societal integration of their fellow citizens,
- the development and the functioning of different classes they attend,
- the development and the functioning of their school,
- the development and the functioning of their governments and their societies.
-
-
-
-
-
To do this, we adapt many of the topics listed above and integrate them into macro-educational presentations.
This approach allows us to present, using a level of language adapted for the students, a body of scientific macro-knowledge that enables us to tell a coherent story.
We offer four different training series on the following subjects:
-
-
-
-
-
- The evolution of our sociality
- Knowledge acquisition process
- The current state of the scientific puzzle
- The evolution of trades and professions
-
-
-
-
This allows them to have a framework of references that they can use to construct their own mental models or to modify those they already use.
All of this will have a positive impact on their academic, social, societal and professional adaptation
